Why tree loppers quote with a link.

"It's a big gum out the back" could be a quick prune or a full crew with a chipper and a stump grinder. Customers struggle to describe height and spread, and rarely mention the power line, the shed roof or the narrow side gate until you are standing there. Each one changes how you do the job and what you charge for it.

QuoteSnap lets you see it first. Type the job, such as "tree removal" or "palm clean", and artificial intelligence (AI) writes the questions and photo requests, which you check and edit. Your customer photographs the full tree, the base, anything close by and the access for your truck and chipper. You decide if you can price it from that or need to see it in person.

Skip the drive-out quote. Your customer shows you the job. You price it from your phone.

Questions worth asking

  • What do you need: removal, pruning, stump grinding, a palm clean or a hedge trim?
  • Roughly how tall is the tree: below the gutter, about roof height or above the roof?
  • Is the tree close to power lines, the house, a fence or a shed?
  • How do we get to the tree: straight from the street, through a side gate or through the house?
  • Do you want the stump ground out?
  • Would you like the wood and green waste taken away?

Photos worth asking for

  • Full tree: top to bottom, with the house in shot for scale
  • Base of the tree: the trunk and the ground around it
  • Nearby: power lines, roofs, fences or sheds close to it
  • Access: the path from the street for the truck and chipper
  • Canopy: branches over the roof or the neighbour's yard

Add any of these to your form, change anything you like, and your link is ready to send.

AI does the reading. You set the price.

  • Checks every photoIf a photo is blurry, too dark or not of the job, your customer is asked to retake it before they send.
  • Sums up the jobA short summary on top of each request: what's in the photos, its condition, and anything to check, like access or safety.
  • Drafts a price on PremiumFrom the photos, the answers and your past quotes. You check it and set the final price.

Questions tree loppers ask.

Can I judge the size of a tree from photos?

Better than from a phone call. Ask for the full tree with the house or fence in the shot, so you have something to compare it to. QuoteSnap does not measure height or count trunks for you, but you can see the scale yourself and decide if it is enough to price.

What if the tree is near power lines?

Ask directly with a tap-to-answer question, and ask for a photo showing the tree and any lines nearby. The AI summary flags things to check, like safety and access, so it is in front of you before you quote. How you handle a job near lines stays your call.

Can I check access for my truck and chipper?

Add a photo request for the path from the street to the tree, including gates, driveways and anything overhead. If width matters, ask the customer to measure the narrowest gap and type it in, because the app does not measure from photos.

Can I quote stump grinding as well?

Yes. Ask whether they want the stump ground, and for a photo of the base of the tree or any old stump. Your quote goes out with a list of what is included, so removal, grinding and green waste can each be a clear line the customer sees before they sign.

Does it work for emergency tree work after a storm?

Send the link as soon as the call comes in. The customer photographs what has come down and where it landed, and you see it on your phone with a short summary. You can work out what crew and gear it needs before you head out, or decide to go and look straight away.

Can I use it for hedges and palms?

Yes. Type "hedge trimming" or "palm clean" and AI writes questions to suit, like how long the hedge is or how many palms there are. You edit the questions, then the customer answers and takes the photos. The app will not count palms from photos, so ask for the number.

Can I get a deposit before the crew turns up?

On Premium you can ask for a deposit when the customer signs, paid by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe into your own Stripe account. After the job, send the invoice from the same job. Cash or transfer can be marked paid on any plan.

Does my customer need to download an app?

No. Your link opens in any phone browser. They tap through the questions, take the photos and send it.
