Why waterproofers quote with a link.

'The shower's leaking' tells you almost nothing. It might be a failed grout line, a cracked tile or a membrane that's gone, with damage spreading into the next room. A balcony leak could be staining a ceiling below. You can't price it until you know how big the area is, what's on it now, where the drains sit, and whether you can get to it without stripping something else first.

With QuoteSnap you send a link before you go. Type 'shower leak repair' or 'balcony membrane' and artificial intelligence (AI) writes the questions and photo requests, which you check and edit. Your customer photographs the wet area, the drain, the corners where the walls meet the floor and any water damage nearby. You see the extent of it on your phone, then price it or arrange an inspection.

Questions worth asking

  • Which area: shower, whole bathroom, balcony, basement, roof or retaining wall?
  • Is it leaking now, or is this new work?
  • Where are you seeing the water: stains, damp walls, the ceiling below or not sure?
  • How long has it been happening?
  • Is the area tiled, and are the tiles staying or coming off?
  • Roughly how big is the area?

Photos worth asking for

  • Wet area: the whole space, current condition
  • Leak signs: stains, damp or bubbling paint
  • Drains: each floor waste up close
  • Corners: where walls meet the floor
  • Below: any ceiling or room under the area

Add any of these to your form, change anything you like, and your link is ready to send.

Questions waterproofers ask.

Is there a ready-made waterproofing form?

Not yet. Type the job, such as 'shower leak repair', 'balcony membrane' or 'basement wall', and the AI writes the questions and photo requests. You check and edit them, change the order and add your own options. Save the form and reuse it for the next job of that type.

Can I quote a leaking shower from photos?

Photos help you work out whether it looks like grout, a cracked tile or something bigger, and where the water is showing. Finding the cause often needs testing on site. You decide whether the photos are enough to price it, or whether they're the first step before an inspection.

Will the app tell me what's failed?

No. The AI checks each photo is clear, lit and actually of the job, then writes a short summary of what's in the photos, their condition and things to check, such as signs of water damage or missing information. Diagnosing the leak is still your call.

How does it help with balconies over living areas?

Add a photo request for the ceiling or room below the balcony, along with the balcony surface, the drain and the door threshold. A stain underneath tells you a lot about how long it's been going. Ask whether the tiles are staying or coming off too, since that changes the job.

Can it help me work out the area?

Ask for rough dimensions as a question and a wide photo of the whole space. The AI doesn't measure areas, so treat the customer's numbers as a guide and confirm them yourself. For larger jobs like roofs or retaining walls, a site measure is usually part of the quote.

What about membrane type and compliance?

QuoteSnap doesn't advise on membranes or requirements. You choose the system and the scope, the same as now. You can list the products and steps in what's included on the quote, so your customer can see what they're signing for. Anything that needs checking against requirements gets checked on site.

Can I take a deposit before I start?

On Premium, yes. Ask for a deposit when your customer signs to accept. They pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, and it lands in your own Stripe account. On any plan, the quote is signed on the same link they used to send the photos.

Does my customer need to download an app?

No. Your link opens in any phone browser. They tap through the questions, take the photos and send it.

How much does QuoteSnap cost?
