"Can you give the backyard a tidy up" could mean a weekend of weeding or a new retaining wall, turf and irrigation. You do not know what is already planted, what is staying, how steep the block is, or whether the side gate will fit your machine. Every one of those changes the price, and most only come out when you walk the yard.

Questions worth asking

  • What would you like done: new lawn, garden beds, paving, retaining wall, irrigation or a general tidy up?
  • Roughly how big is the area: a small courtyard, half the yard or the whole yard?
  • Is the ground flat, gently sloping or steep?
  • What side access is there: a single gate, a double gate or none?
  • Are there plants, trees or features you want to keep?
  • Do you know of any pipes, cables or big tree roots in the area?

Questions landscapers ask.

Is there a ready-made landscaping form?

No. Type the job name, such as "paving" or "irrigation", and AI writes questions and photo requests for it. You check them, change the wording, add your own and set the order of the steps. Then text or email the link to your customer.

Can I quote a big backyard job from photos?

You can get most of the picture: the size of the space, what is planted, the slope and the access. Whether that is enough to price is your call. Plenty of landscaping jobs still need a walk around, but the photos tell you which ones are worth the drive and what to look for when you get there.

How do I know if my machinery will fit down the side?

Ask for it. Add a photo request for the side access from the street and a question about how wide it is. The AI does not measure from photos, so if width matters, ask the customer to measure the narrowest gap and type the number in.

What about pipes, roots and rock under the ground?

Photos cannot show what is underground, and QuoteSnap does not pretend to. You can ask whether the customer knows of any pipes, cables or problem roots, and ask for photos of big trees near the work area. Anything still uncertain is a good reason to visit before you price.

How do customers show me what they want to keep?

Add a photo request for each thing that stays: the established tree, the hedge, the old brick edging. The AI summary on your phone describes what is in each photo and its condition, so you can see at a glance what you are working around.

Can I split the quote into turf, paving and plants?

Your quote goes out by text or email with a list of what is included, so turf, edging and paving can each sit on their own line. On Premium you can also include add-ons, such as irrigation or a mulch top-up, alongside the main job.

Can I take a deposit before I order materials?

On Premium, your customer can pay a deposit when they sign, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. It lands in your own Stripe account. That is handy on jobs where you are buying turf, pavers or sleepers before you start.

Does my customer need to download an app?

No. Your link opens in any phone browser. They tap through the questions, take the photos and send it.
